Our vineyard story

When we bought the Vineyard in 2022 it was sadly classed as abandond it hadnt been pruned and the rails and wires were broken and rotten.

Our first job was to re post, wire it then hard prune in January - it was a nerve racking moment as they had got years of uncontrolable growth luckily we had a great mentor to advise us. We had our soil tested by a specialist agronamist and the results were good. In spring 2023 we planted 600 new vines we planted in the gaps and in whole rows where the others had died we planted 7 varities red and whites to hopefully give us an interesting harvest and a well balanced field wine.

Our plan for 2024 is to plant approx another 600 and we will mainly focus on a white grape.  In spring  2024 we will build our small winery so we can make our wine on site for sustainabity and we can teach the process as an experience more to come on this.
